Love the features of this fridge. Flexible space and the ice-makers work well. However...ours seems to be possessed. They should name this model Mental Anguish. There is a chime that plays when you leave one of the doors open. A handy feature until it goes rogue and chimes randomly whether the doors are open or shut. Sometimes we can get it to stop by opening an closing the doors. Of course were just beyond the end of the warranty period when this began. LG Support had me hold my phone up to the fridge as it played a series of tones that apparently was some sort of self-diagnostic. The oh-so-helpful fridge whisperer then confidently revealed the issue: Your door is open he said. Two different service companies have now made a total of 7 trips to fix this issue. At one point it rang 3 chimes every 26 seconds for ten days while we waited on a part. Thats 99692 chimes. We are debating whether to call a priest or just drag the thing to the curb. We are done with LG products.

Ive had my LG refrigerator for 9 months and the freezer and ice maker broke The LG warranty guy texted me ways to fix it myself. Then he called me and told me to pull the refrigerator out and unplug it. Really? I cant do that Its under warranty so dude you come fix it He then texted me multiple times at 9:30 p.m. with different ways for me to fix it. I canceled my appointment and went to an approved vendor. They replaced the control board. 4 days later it broke. They cant come out and fix it in a timely manner so I called LG back. They cant fix it for 10 more days. So I will be without a freezer and ice maker for almost a month. LG doesnt care. I spoke with a manager and he was no help. Now its the week of Thanksgiving and I dont have a freezer or ice. Unbelievable. BTW Ive never taken the time to write a negative review. You are my first and I hope last.

Lower Door Hinge Design Flaw

Defective Door Bracket 11/16/2024

The design of the left door lower hinge has much to be desired and required repair within 2 weeks of delivery. In addition phone support at first insisted it was a user adjustment refused to send a technician and finally agreed to send a technician but only after making sure I knew I was going to have to pay for a service call if it was not a manufacture defect. The technician was great at my home for over an hour and replaced two parts so much for user friendly adjustment but the point is Im sure well need a service call for this same problem again at some point because the design is flawed.

This fridge ran pretty good the first year. After 12-14 months it started not holding the temperature in either the refrigerator or freezer. It then started making a loud clicking noise. One recommended technician came out and melted a bunch of ice in the back of the freezer charged us $207 but it did not help. Were now dealing with another approved technician who will cover the warranty compressor needed. Well see if this review gets any better.

Too complex for its own good

Purchased this LG for the craft ice and full flex freezer / refrigerator drawer. Unfortunately after 24 hours it started beeping as though the door was open it wasnt. The service team couldnt come for a few days - thought I was going to go insane from the beeping. Then the ice started melting. Turned out there was a faulty electrical board in the door which was telling the fridge the door was open even though it wasnt. So much for a smart fridge

Craft ice maker defective would not recommend

I have had this fridge for a month and the craft ice maker is already broken. Not only that but warranty service is terrible as well. It took 2 weeks and many calls before getting a service call set up

Regret I bought this. Less than a year and it displayed an error and wouldnt produce ice or dispense water. It took over two weeks to have somebody from LG to come and FIND the problem then over a week to come back and fix it.

Great design

I love the organization and design of this refrigerator. It holds twice as much as my previous side by side fridge of the same size. It is much easier to find my refrigerated items. It is also very attractive. My only minor issue that the feature for delivering the ice cubes tends to be inconsistent. At times the ice comes out easily but at other times it struggles to deliver. All and all Im very hopeful that it will last many years and not break down the day after the warranty ends.

Poorly Engineered Breaks Constantly

This is not a good product. It broke on me 4 times in about 13 months in various ways - first the compressor then it needed a closed system repair then the fan casing and on and on. LG to their credit sent repairmen for free every time but it just seems like it was poorly designed - maybe trying to jam too many features into not enough space. I dont know Im not an engineer. All I know is Ive never owned a less reliable fridge. Ultimately LG agreed to give me a refund and Ill be buying another more reliable brand even if its a bit less fancy in terms of features and aesthetics.

Not enough Ice

Bought it about a month ago. We have 3 kids and the ice maker is so small it cant keep up. its pathetic. Craft Ice sounds great in the freezer but it makes either 3 or 6 ice cubes A DAY. Our previous Frigidaire Gallery had no problem keeping up in the door and in freezer. This model is substantially smaller that most so much wasted space in it.

Bought this fridge less than a year ago and already had problems. The water wouldnt dispense and neither of the ice makers cubed craft were working. Took over 3 weeks from the first phone call until it was repaired. The water and main ice maker work. But still no craft ice. What a disappointment.

We bought our LG fridge approx 9 months ago. All went well until the icemaker failed. We called LG they scheduled a service. A couple days later they canceled the service as it was out of the service area. I called rescheduling and I was told they made a mistake. Again service day is confirmed none showed up. I cant get anyone to respond and I have a fridge without ice maker and no one at LG seems to care. Now I will escalate to Costco

Bad compressors

I bought this refrigerator in summer of 2020 and it worked great. By November 2023 the compressor broke and all my food was ruined. Compressor was replaced. Then it broke again in may 2024 and all my food was ruined again. Compressor was replaced again but never worked. Again they replaced compressor and fan. It never worked again. LG should consider making higher quality appliances like they used to be made.

A Full French Door Refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator specifically to fit the counters in our new home. It fits like a dream. There were low grades from Consumer Reports on the Ice Maker but we havent had any problem with it. Its great also being able to hook it up to the LG ThinQ app It very informative on the condition of the fridge and even can control the number of whole ice.

Great Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator over a month ago so far were very happy with it. We did quite a bit of research on- line as well as at various retailers. We wanted a counter depth refrigerator french door with water/ice dispenser and a middle convert drawer. We looked at several other brands and decided to go with this LG model as it most met our criteria plus its more aesthetically pleasing. The only thing was the door in door feature which was not really something we were looking for but this was the only model that fit our needs. We are getting used to this feature and actually found it more helpful rather then opening the door to the fridge to retrieve our beverages. It doesnt have as much deep shelves space as a regular french door refrigerators but we purchased refrigerator organizers and that helped. The counter depth model costs significantly more than a regular model but this was worth it.

Its genius design refrigerator make every task easier and convenient. It runs smooth quiet efficient. We can adjust function temperature depending on timely need. This unit has had service for ice makerwater valvecompressor replacement and control board reflashnow we are getting notice from the thin q app that the freezer is going out and not cooling We still dont have ice and freezer is not cooling and LG sent us new water filter assembly to cure a cooling issue. Very disappointed with lack of quality for a $3000 unit.

Not super happy with this fridge. 1The spacing of the shelves in this fridge is awkward. either the shelves are so close together that a carton of eggs does not fit in between upper and lower they are spaced in such a way as a gallon of milk does not fit on the shelves. More options for shelf spacing would be a great improveent. 2Our craft ice maker stopped working LG did send parts at no charge to fix. 3And we have trouble with the ice in the door jamming up frequently. 3The door ice cubes are fairly small and melt quickly in glasses whole cubes are almost the same as crushed cubes out of our old fridge ice maker. We do like the easy access door.

My sister who visits my home often loves it so much that she and her husband went to the same store and purchased the exact same refrigerator. Avoid getting an ice maker

This is our second LG refrigerator. We like the size and features but the ice makers are the worst. We replaced our 8 year old LG refrigerator because the ice maker stopped working. It was repaired but months later it stopped again and we were told we needed a compressor. Decided to get a new one a little small and perfect with the extra middle drawer BUT just shy of a year and the ice makers stopped working. Having to have it repaired ALREADY.

This item was delivered to me and has not worked. In order to get a replacement LG insist that an individual come and inspect it. After waiting two weeks it was inspected and I was told the compressor was broken. Rather than get a new refrigerator LG told me they would repair it. It took no less than A dozen calls along with a visit to Home Depot to finally get LG to agree to replace it. At this point the replacements has still not arrived.

We bought this refrigerator about five weeks ago and were very happy with it. The counter depth fit into our space much better than our previous fridge and even though it isnt quite as deep its a very small compromise. We like the door within a door feature so that we dont have to open the whole fridge just to get a half gallon of milk. The craft icemaker is also nice feature. We like to make mixed drinks and before we used cubic or round ice trays for this. Now its part of the fridge. Having a drawer that we can convert to either be part of the refrigerator or part of the freezer is another nice plus. Our only extremely small complaint is that the water coming out of the dispenser in the door isnt quite as cold as our previous fridge. I would definitely recommend this LG.

For the price its way too small and within a year we have had problems with the fan kept getting FFE error and it took 2 1/2 weeks to get someone out to fix it. The service man was excellent but not impressed with the fridge we did like the big ice balls but it took almost 3 weeks after we got it for that to start working.

I love so many features of this refrigerator but the craft ice maker has malfunctioned multiple times in the past 3 years. This time a plastic piece broke off and we have to replace the entire thing. Can someone at LG please tell me the model number for the craft ice maker and where I can purchase a replacement? Our refrigerator is not even 3 years old and it is not keeping cool enough temp and thus ice makers are not functioning. I have been attempting to get service for 3 weeks and I do have the 5 year extended warranty. Such a run around at least with the Home Depot Warranty customer service. They told me day after day after day that my case was being escalated only to call in to find out nothing was happening or the wrong issue was being addressed. We even had to go into the store a couple of times to attempt to get help. They look pretty but they sure dont last or work well. Its a darn shame what junk they sell to us unsuspecting consumers.

Horrendence Customer Service

Purchased my refrigerator six months ago. The filter needed to be replaced. Purchased the LG filters followed all instructions for installing and purging but the water continued to taste awful. Called customer service twice and the representatives were not helpful. They told me to disconnect the water and line and purchase a food grade line at any Lowes/Home Depot type of store. I was appalled to learn that I would not receive service from LG even though my refrigerator was still under warranty. After flushing a ton of water which didnt resolve the issue disconnected and flushed the water then proceeded to Lowes who had never hear of such a water line. I finally drove to the store where purchased RC Willey and they told me this problem was identified last year. All I needed to do was remove the filter and reinstall but keep twisting until it would go no further. I was concerned about breaking or stripping the grooves but it worked. Why couldnt LG have explained this the first time I called. This poor service and lack of knowledge will affect my decisions when purchasing any new appliances going forward. Very sad that a company of this size and after paying so much for this appliance doesnt demonstrate that they care about customer service and brand loyalty.
